Historical Legacy: The distillery was founded in 1872 by two Spanish brothers and a Cuban friend. Using the traditional Solera method they went on to develop several Cuban secret recipes for the production of great spirits.
 
Quality Process: In the Solera blending process, various mature aged Matusalem rums are carefully blended with more exuberant rums to create exceptionally smooth, unique blends.
 
Ingredients and Flavor Notes: A vibrant, sweet nose of banana and butterscotch.  Medium-bodied with roasted nuts, caramel, and fruit cake notes. Finishes gracefully with a nice pepper and oak spice fade.
